I couldn't figure out how to change the title on the first thread that I posted so it would indicate being updated with more photos. So I started another thread with more photos/commentary from our second trip of the season.

Trip 2: May 29-June4

Like on the first trip of the season we started this week with pretty nice weather if somewhat cool.

The head of Cedar Bay viewed from our landing spot. The eel grass only shows like this on negative tides.

And viewed from above during a hike.

These deer were eating seaweed off of the rocks on the shoreline.

And we saw several bears this trip. I think this passes as foreplay for black bears.

On the open sound we were visited by a large pod of Dahl's porpoise. They hung out for quite a while. The shoreline in the distance is Naked Island, so called because it is rarely covered with snow. The snow covered mountains on the horizon are on Montague Island some 40 miles distant.

Louis Bay on Knight Island.

A late evening view of the entrance to Disk Island anchorage as viewed from inside.

And just some more evening lighting shot from the anchorage in Disk.

Heading out of Disk for some fishing we spotted this eagle with his catch.

And just some awesome light on a gull.

The wildest critter of all, our GSP, Grace.

And a shot of the intrepid crew, Admiral Paige, Lieutenant Grace, and Quartermaster Dan.

Glad you folks are enjoying the photos. Will try to post some after each trip. Maybe I'll convince a few of you to untie those tugs and point the bow north/west 😀
