2007 R24 Power Plant

Hello

I'm looking at purchasing a new 2011 Ranger R25 with a 150 HP diesel engine or a 2007 R25 with a 110 HP diesel engine.

Obviously, Ranger thought the 110 HP units were underpowered for the R25 and went to 150 HP which is a dramatic increase. I don't want a speedster, but I do want to get out to the fishing grounds along with my buddies at the same time or shortly thereafter. Suspect with the power increase you've given the R25 I might have to put a "kicker" on the swimgrid. I'm kidding a little here. Are there comparitive tables that I could refer to on the "Net?"

Hello Bob,

You can go to Yanmarmarine.com to view the engine details. The 110 HP engine was a model # 4JH4-HTE. We have made a considerable amount of changes besides the engine from 2007 to 2011. I would suggest comparing both of the boats side by side.
