2009 r25 shower sump pump question

We also have a 2012 Ranger Tug R27. While winterizing our systems, this past week, we found that the shower sump pump did not operate.
Is the pump not running at all? If the sump box is filled with enough water to sufficiently raise the float switch and the pump is not running, the first and easiest thing to check is the fuse located in the Power Distribution Panel located under the port side hinged step. If that fuse is intact, the next thing to check is the float switch. I’m sorry to say, there is no easy way to access the switch other than to remove the top of the box. As Red Raven says, the sump box does not have to be removed. Both the pump and float switch can be removed from the box for testing with the box in place. Dealing with the sump box given its location is miserable, but removing the water heater to access it would open a whole other can of worms.

Since sump box can retain soapy water, soap scum and grow mould - I installed a 3-way momentary-on switch when I removed whole box to clean it. Switch is: ALL OFF / AUTO (float switch powers pump) / MOMENTARY-ON (direct to pump-spring loaded position). After shower I push and hold the MOMENTARY-ON to empty the box as much as possible. Switch hangs inside sink cabinet. Cannot recall exact type switch: maybe a DPDT, ON-OFF-(ON)?
After season - boat on trailer - I use a shop vac on the outside discharge port to pull any residual water out.
Sump box lid is not water tight, so if pump system fails - water and stuff goes into bilge. With this switch, I can test to make sure at least pump is working.
Some people hard wire the pump to stay on during whole shower.

R25 2009. Sump box with a pump, under the shower floor, and all but impossible to get at/out unless you are determined like a starving dog after a pork chop

Besides servicing/repairing it, I would add a three way switch so it can be Auto-Off-Manual. Since doing that it has been used only in the manual and off positions. There is an older thread on this by Roam.
