I am preparing to refresh the suite of Garmin electronics from the originally installed equipment. I have lost the use of the originally installed Airmar P-79 transducer signal and would like to avoid the hassle of trying to restore the signal given the hard to access location. I would like to install a Garmin GT56UHD-TH thru hull and would like some guidance on possible locations to install the thru hull style to provide best readings and avoid poor placement relative to haul out point and trailer interference.
