2011/2012 GMC/Chevy Duramax Diesel

We own a 2011 GMC 2500 Duramax Diesel. A few days ago the engine light came so I immediately took the truck into the local GM dealer, thinking the worst. The problem was diagnosed as a bad glow plug, number 7. I was told this was covered under a "policy" program. Policy is not a recall as no announcements are sent out and the problem is addressed only when it occurs. I asked what years were covered and for how long. The answer is most 2011 and 2012 GMC/Chevy Duramax Diesels are covered for 10 years or 120,000 miles, whichever comes first. I know there are number of us Tugnuts with models of GM trucks as described, so make a mental note about the coverage for future reference. I was in and out within an hour and a half.
