Starboard side engine mount is deteriorating faster than port. Port side looks pretty good, starboard side rust and substantial corrosion taking place. Anyone else having this problem? As a follow up has anyone replaced engine mounts on their boat? Does this job require engine being completely removed or just lifted?

Thanks

What kind of substantial corrosion?
Is salt water being sprayed around during running, like from around the cover of the sea chest or a split hose?
Is there actual loss of threads on the stud?
Can you post pictures?

Without knowing details, I suggest this:
First wire brush any loose scale.
Then treat the rusted metal with vinegar - brush it on and repeat, keep it wet, this can be done for a day or more as needed
Then hose off with fresh water - copiously
Then treat with rust convertor
Then dry it with a fan
Paint or spray with a primer
Followed by paint
If necessary use a hoist to support the engine and take the mount completely off for this treatment
Cure the source of salt spray
