Auto function of bilge pumps not working.

Seems the fix may be as simple as replacing the fuses.

Can you point me as to the location of these fuses on a 2012 R29

Thanks in advance for your help and support.

Howdy,

in our C28, the bilge pump fuses are connected directly to the positive terminals on the battery. That way the bilge pumps always have power to them even if your battery switches (house, engine, and thrusters) are set to off.

Hello,

The fuses will be located at the thruster battery, here is a link to the owners manual which shows the wiring diagram for the bilge pumps and fuses:

Hope this helps!!

Kevin thanks for prompt and helpful reply.
Problem fixed -- We located bilge pump 1 & 2 fuses. Both were blown. Replaced fuses and bilge pumps now working.

Next question for you:

The AC volt meter is not working.
On the DC side of my control panel near the bottom and just above a switch labeled engine hatch is a switch labeled AC voltmeter. Turning it on and off has no effect. I think it is a rocker switch.
Could the AC volt meter problem be as simple as another fuse replacement. Does the AC voltmeter have a fuse, and if so where is it located?

I would send you a photo but am new to the forum and don't know how to post a photo yet.

Getting a User Photo Album is easy but it requires submitting a request from within the site structure.

1. Sign on to the site. You’re probably already signed in if you’re reading this.

2. Select the User Control Panel link from the upper left corner of any page. Note: On the home page, this link is in your user menu in the upper right.

3. Click the Usergroups tab, then select the radio button next to the User Albums group.
Scroll down, choose "Join selected" in the drop-down menu, and click the Submit button.

Once you do this, an email is automatically sent to the administrator (me). That message will trigger my ability to approve your request, and you'll receive an email indicating your membership in the User Albums group has been activated.

I'll watch for the message, and look forward to seeing your pictures.

Cheers,

Bruce

JD,

The AC volt meter only registers voltage when either the boat is plugged into shore power or if the generator is running, basically only works if there is power going to the AC panel. Hope this helps.

2014 CW 26; forward bilge pump fuse at battery question. The only fuse I can find at the battery is a 30A fuse. I assume this protects more that the bilge pumps. I have two 5A fuses in the cave distribution block that are labeled bilge pump 1 and 2. I believe these are for the automatic bilge pump power supply. Am I missing something? Forward bilge pump runs on manual switch but not on automatic sensor test. Thanks for any help!
