2014 21 ec bilge pump/ high water alarm wiring

Could use some help. Bilge pump stopped working. Replaced with Johnson pump and switch. Seems to be OEM. Can turn on pump manually from panel switch. But, Pump does not turn on automatically. Mechanic says high water sensor will activate pump. Anyone got a wiring diagram for bilge pump and high water alarm? Really a PIA having to manually turn on pump after every rain. All help appreciated. Thx all.

Pump is wired through battery switch next to helm station for manual switch operation. Automatic operation is directly from house battery, so it can work in your absence with battery turned off. There should be a fairly conspicuous wire leading through an in-line fuse from the battery down to the pump. Check that that is OK. Also, is your float switch wired correctly? If you lift the float does the pump run? OEM pump had button water sensing type "switch" which often had to be cleaned to work properly. Not sure how you got a float switch to fit in there. I added a second, float type switch in the area accessed through the deck plate just ahead of the motor box.

As a follow up, sorry, I didn't remember your entire post. Alarm switch is just for alarm; will not turn on pump.

I didn't like how my pump was sounding, so I ordered a new one. I'll let you know how it goes and what I find out about the wiring. Maybe it will help.
