Trying to learn a little each day. My inverter in the True Power 1500. I noticed there are two outlets on the unit. On my unit there is a plug/cable attached to one of the outlets. Does anyone have any idea what this cable powers??

Thank you

It is connected to the 120vac switch that connects it to your 120vac panel when the switch is in the inverter position. That way the inverter can provide 120vac (inverted from your house battery) to your 120vac systems (although in a very limited fashion) when you do not have shore power. The other switch positions should be shore, gen(erator), and off.

I am surprised that a regular 110v plug is used for that in this compartment. I would not consider that compartment completely dry.

I think unplugging that connector once a year and checking for corrosion and/or applying some dielectric grease would be a good idea
