I'm having to do a little repair on my engine hatch hydraulic system. The lower attachment in the bilge has failed and I'm having to work through this. I also have noticed small amounts of hydraulic fluid leaking from the system but am unsure if and, if so, where the reservoir is for this system. Please advise. The hydraulic line seems to go under the reversible back seat?

The reservoir is located on the Stern it also supplies fluid to the your trim tabs. It is part of that pump for both the trim tabs and your access door.

Hello JonR,

That is correct, the reservoir is located under the center seat in the cockpit area. I almost find it easier to remove the seat and plastic cover below the seat to access this reservoir. In the reservoir you will have a level mark in front of the tank to show you how much to add. (make sure you have your trim tabs all the way up when your doing this and a very small funnel if adding fluid is require) as they also use the same fluid and reservoir then the engine lift. You might get lucky and just need to adjust the fittings or you might need to replace this compression fittings.

hope this helps. thanks,

FWIW, we had the same issue on our 2020 C28, where the mount was coming loose. I tried to repair using one size larger screws, and 5200. It didn't hold that long. The dealer then did a repair, I think moving it back slightly to brand new holes, and it has held since, although the hatch doesn't open quite as high now.
