During a survey today, we found a soft spot on the starboard side above the waterline, just below the lower helm station. As this is a solid fiberglass hull....no core, I believe, I am concerned.
The area is roughly 36" square and I can flex the hull in a few millimetres with thumb pressure.
On the port side, back near the transom and below the waterline, the moisture meter spiked along a 25-30" strip, maybe 6" high.
At this point, I stopped the survey, believing that the boat was likely hit at some point on the starboard side and water has penetrated at the transom.
I would value your thoughts.
