2014 Roche Harbor Rendezvous - Artisans Fair

ARTISAN FAIR!

This should be lots of fun this year with 100 + boats attending and the talent we have amongst us. Do you have a hobby? Are you a painter? Do you make crafts? Are you a photographer? Sewer? We are looking for people to participate in this fun event whether you want to sell something or just bring samples for people to see.

The artisans fair is scheduled to take place Friday, September 5th from 1230 - 1530. We need to know who is going to participate so we can begin planning table space. If you would like to participate, please let me know so I can plan accordingly.

The rendezvous is almost here and the Artisans Fair is going to be a lot of fun. We have a number of talented people participating and we are always looking for more people to share their hobby or sell something they have made.

Can I entice you to visit the fair???? Kathy's Burgees, known as the burgee lady will be taking orders for new burgees. Mary Kalbert, an author, will be sharing with us her book "Reflections on Life on San Juan Island" and it will be for sale, along with a very talented lady (Elena Cardinal) who will be selling some knitted garments.

There will be flowers to purchase along with the vases that attach to your window, yummy jam, a lot of embroidery items such as kitchen towels, hand towels, etc. If you are looking for hatch screens for your boat that keep the sun rays away, well we will have them too.

There is still time to let me know if you want to participate. Please send me a private message so I can save you some table space.

I can't wait to see the two of you and Lynne's eggs. She does such an awesome job.

I mentioned before that there will be some yummy jam for sale. I have since found out that two young entrepreneurs made this jam and will be selling blackberry, blackberry raspberry, and raspberry jam. They will go fast so you must show up early in order to get your jar. If I am correct, I believe they also picked the berries. These are two hard working young girls.

Other items for sale at the Artisans Fair that I know of will be "The Burgee: Premier Marina Guidebook". It is a useful guide to guest moorage from Olympia to Port Hardy, BC. It covers public moorage, marine parks and yacht club reciprocals. It shows a clear map of facilities and pier layout, description and notes on facilities, amenities, phone numbers, much more. It is signed by the author, David Kutz, and this is one book we use all the time while on the Nellie Too.

Anchor thimbles and log books will be for sale along with some table cloth/runners in a nautical theme.
