we are trying to find the old transducer on our 25sc Ranger Tug to replace it with a new one to be compatible with our new Chartplotter. Does anyone have any ideas where it could be? We have looked everywehre we can think off. We do not have access to the hull in the v-berth adn have checked under the bathroom sink and in all the compartments in the back. We are stumped.

Finally found mine under stbd end of holding tank in engine compartment. BUT, was disappointed to find that it was siliconed directly to a cutout about ¼" deep in the hull. This is a no fluid ( mineral oil or coolant) p79. Disappointed to find they removed any of what I consider important hull thickness to accommodate this transducer! Boat could have been altered by previous owners, but the remaining hull material shows no guide drill bit hole so it must have been routed and the location would not have been easy or even possible. Cutout depth s clean and smooth as a whistile. Malfunction symptoms were intermittent drop outs of correct depths returning to correct values about 50% of the time - typical for low fluid levels or loose connection of silicone in this case. 2009 25 SC.
