What is the stuffing box on my 2016 C-30 and the appropriate stuffing box material?
 
If you are looking for OEM material the stuffing box is made by Marine Hardware. You can go to their website to get the specifications. There are many different materials and manufacturers that make packaging that will work. Some better than others.
 
Thanks Brian. I believe mine was serviced by the previous owner in 2020. It is currently dripping more than I would like (1 drip every min even with engine off) and I'm wondering if I just need to give it a quarter crank tighten or replace the material? I assume changing the material needs to be done out of the water?
 
I would try the 1/4 (or, better perhaps, 1/8) turn and see. On our C30 we never got the factory packing adjusted properly and eventually replaced (while at mechanic) with graphite-impregated cord. That has been amazing, slightly messy in the bilge at first but has been two years since any adjustment needed.
