Here is the tentative itinerary for our 2016 Desolation Sound Cruise.

We will be leaving the Anacortes area on Thursday July 21st, 2016. Email Andrew directly if you would like to cruise north to Comox with us andrewcustis@rangertugs.com Moorage on Thursday night will be determined once we have an idea of the head count.

Our first official stop will be Comox Harbour located on the East Side of Vancouver Island. We will be staying at the Fisherman’s Wharf. Comox Harbour authority can be reached on VHF channel 66A for your slip assignment. Comox has several restaurants within a short walk and is also a great place to provision. http://comoxharbour.com/services

Our second stop is Gorge Harbour Marina on Beautiful Cortes Island. http://www.gorgeharbour.com/index.html The Gorge Harbour Dockmaster can be reached on Channel 66A for slip assignments.

Points North Seminar and Poets Cove Cruise are a prerequisite for Desolation Sound Cruise. Desolation Sound Cruise has a max capacity of 40 boats.

we can't make the points north seminar and possibly the poet cove so i guess we will not be part of the Desolation cruise.
since it is in our back yard ( an hour from our home port) we may see some of you anyway. Just came back from there today in 4 foot seas and the boat (new to us) performed great. Looking forward to many wonderful cruising days this year.

Hi Desolation Sound Cruisers,

We're getting very excited about the cruise and we're only a few weeks away now. We've received a couple questions regarding the itinerary. Just to clarify, the first official event on the cruise is:

Friday, July 22nd, 2016 - Arrive in Comox.
5:30 P.M. Appetizer and drinks on the dock. Bring your favorite appetizer, chair and drink.

We have reserved moorage for everyone in Comox (7/22 - 7/23) and Gorge Harbor (7/24 - 7/25). You will be responsible to find moorage for all other dates during the trip. If you've arranged to follow Andrew up from Anacortes, you should have received an email from him regarding moorage on 7/21.

If you have questions please email me at sambisset@rangertugs.com

Thanks!

We can't wait to join you at Comox. Sandy and I plan to spend a couple of days in Sidney on the way up.

Excitedly,
