2016 Northeast Rendezvous

Hello all. Spring is almost here and summer will be here before you know it. The plan for this years rendezvous was decided at last years in Newport. It was decided to have it in Greenport LI once again at Mitchell Park Marina from August 11th thru the 14th.
We have a few changes, or I should say issues to work through though. Mike and Jess Rizzo will be unable to attend this year as they will be cruising the Pacific Northwest for the summer and David and I have have sold Mr Quivers. Our plans for boating have changed as we are working towards making a big move to sunny Key West.
I have the marina secured for the dates we had set up, but am checking to see if anyone or two people or couples out there would want to take over for this year. Mike will be back to run things next year. I can still help with things remotely as Mike can to. If any one is interested, feel free to contact me and we can discuss it. If we can find someone to handle things this year, we will be skipping the 2016 rendezvous and resume next summer.

WE ARE definitely going. What exactly would we have to do?

We need someone to handle all the seminars, name tags, raffles, arrange the Thursday potluck dinner, Friday is usually the day we have catered breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as the seminars and then the boat crawl and help you fix it is usually Saturday with Pizza dinner that night. Someone there will need to be responsible for keeping everything om schedule.

Hello NE tug nut community. We have just completed purchase of our 25SC and are very excited. We have very limited boating experience and no open water experience so we plan to stay close in this summer while we get to know our boat and the area (moving to the coast in June and taking possession then).

So not this year but hopefully next year we will join the rendezvous.

There are at least 6 tugs within Massachusetts Bay and hopefully we will be getting together this summer for a weekend in Scituate Harbor. I very good venue and very easy to get to. Stay tuned.

A get together in Massachusetts Bay sounds like a great idea. I second the motion.

If someone up there in Mass wants to handle it, I will cancel the reservation at Mitchel Park in Greenport.

Just to clarify, The Rendezvous in Greenport, Long Island, NY is not being held. There was no one local to carry the baton while Jess & I are away this summer. There may be another brewing, but further up near Massachusetts. Keep your eyes open if you are interested.
