2017/18 double bench folding mechanism r27/r23

Wondering if anyone had some detailed pics of the folding mechanism for the double bench in the new r23 and 2018 r27. If I recall, the 27 one can be used forward and aft facing and has some way to be higher when facing forward when functioning as a helm seat. Don’t think the 23 does it all he same way. Just curious if that mechanism can be applied to the older r27 port bench is which currently uses a stack of 5 elements folded in two positions

Yes.... in the new 2018 R-27/OB the helm seat can face forward and aft. The forward position provides a higher level than for the aft position that needs to be aligned for sitting at the table and for using the mid-berth bedding.

There are two photos of the helm seats folding/rotating mechanism on my shared Album of some 250 photos I took of our R-27/OB being built.

Thank you so much. Looks like this might work. Next step is to take some measurements and check if one can buy the hardware from the factory or find out where they get it from

Foggy memory says that the R27 helm seat offers fore and aft adjustment but the R23 does not.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
