I am still getting my butt kicked trying to get the zincs out of the thruster tunnel without damaging thruster, but that is a WIP.
Does anyone know what the SidePower designation is so I can get new zincs on order? Eventually I will get the thing apart even if I have to wait until most of the zinc is dissolved. If I can find out the model number or however it is they know what zincs to send, want to have a set on hand to replace when I replace bolt with stud as discussed in other part of fourm.
Thanks - Doug PHT

Doug,
Order the zinc for your Side Power from Boatzinc.com.

Zekeandboone: I think so - Vivian and I are planning on it anyway. I have a contractor here and a lot of it depends on when he gets out of here and we can get free - supposed to be done by Fri but today the guy on site said no way so it depends if they kill Mon or Tue. Plannning on going to vendor exhibits; not planning on going to marina ... we don't need another boat!

Gypsy: BoatZincs has been my source supplier for zincs for last 2 boats ... they keep records and have a pretty fair idea what they have that goes with what boats - they are the best. Thx though .... doug

Hi all,

The part number for these should be Imtra: 380909

Hope this helps

Cheers!

Ralf

Thx Ralf .... ddj

Doug,
If the 2 of you make the boat show, find me and I'll relay my experiences with my 2017 R25SC thruster zincs!
I should be on the Ranger R31S at the show all week .

Steve Zedekar: we sent yesterday (Tue) ... met Ivan and Tim, so it was nice to put a face to the names. I did talk to Mark Barrett (Imtra) and it sounds like we had tried all of the normal stuff .... his next suggestion was to pull the thruster off and take it apart to more easily get to the zinc bolt ... not real jazzed about that idea, but if I cannot get it apart when it is wet next fall, I may have no other choice. He agrees that if I ever get the $%^ thing out, the stud, castle nut and SS lock wire best move. He is also a big advocate of Tef-Gel. So I am not much better off now than I was before, but at least I have points of contact to reach out to if/when it comes to that. Looked around a lot - we had not been to a boat show since the 90's - but we made it home without buying another boat, so I will call that a win. Would have liked to have met more folks with RT's, but it was Tue morning and we are about 2-1/2 hours each way distant, so all in all, it was a good day.
