My shower door binds when closed to take a shower.
I pulled the roof track and floor track, but I cannot see how either track or more exactly how the shower door comes out.
I think I need to shave the bottom of the shower door plexiglass to make it fully close to take a shower.
Thanks

Hello,

I will need to check into this, I will let you know once I hear back from the plant.

Thanks,

Without taking the doors off the tracks, we used WD40 Silicone spray (not the regular spray) and now both doors glide without effort. We use this same product in the tracks for the sliding windows and screens. Suggested by our trainer Carl at Edgewater Yacht Sales in Perdido Key, FL.

Hello,

With looking into this at the plant the door can be somewhat cumbersome and difficult to removed, if the door is binding at the bottom you could try the spray mentioned above. Also you could try by first cleaning the track and then sanding or filing the track slightly to give it a little more room to slide easier. I would try and find a sanding block that is just as wide as the track to make it easier and more even on either side. Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Well, the rollers on the shower door came off, so I need to pull the door to reattach/fix.
THe rollers are screwed to the door top at a height that makes the screws inside the track on the roof. No way to pull the screws and reattach the rollers without removing the doors.

I wish the factory would chime in and say how they installed them in the first place so I can pull them out.

Hello,

When discussing this with the plant the doors are put in at angle and are a bit tight/difficult to get out once in. I was thinking that maybe the bottom track could be unscrewed from the floor to help in removing the doors. If you could send me some pictures of the broken rollers that may give me some better insight in how to help you better. My email is kevinlamont@rangertugs.com.

Thank you,

It was rough, but here is what I did.
1) pull floor track and it is thin enough to slide out in a circle motion. Fully open the both shower doors as it would be to enter and exit the bath room. Unscrew the floor track. With the shower doors both full open, lift the track on the far side opposite the doors and lift the track high enough to move the track in a clock wise motion going over the shower step. Now the doors will be hanging in the air by the top track.
With the shower doors fully closed like taking a shower, remove the roof screws that are in sight. Then fully open the shower doors and remove the remaining roof screws. Now the shower doors are both fully open, open the mirror allowing access to the electronics behind the boat dash.
The top track should now droop enough to spin clockwise leaving the doors in place IF.....you spin the top track and pull the droop down enough to enter into the electronics through the open mirror ALL THE way to the back wall. Make sure you don't pull/hit/snag any wires back there.
Spinning the top track into the electronics compartment SHOULD make enough room to get the shower door wheels out of the track.
