Hello fellow Tugnuts. Both Jeff and myself are R 31 owners. We are going to offer guided flotilla cruises to those that would like to cruise to Desolation Sound and are not able to make the factory trip. Our trip will be a little different. We will guide you all the way up, through some of our favorite spots and then back down again finishing at the 2018 RangerTug Rendezvous. Here is a little info for our guided trip.

2018 Cruise leaves from Anacortes on August 23rd.
We will proceed at approximately 7 knots to enjoy our northward trip through the San Juan Islands to Bedwell Harbour to clear customs. From there, over the next several days, we will continue through the Gulf Islands to Desolation Sound arriving in pristine Gorge Harbour.
After spending about 5 to 7 days exploring some of the jewels of Desolation Sound we will depart on our way south stopping at some of our favorite spots in the Gulf Islands. We will arrive in time for the 2018 RangerTug Rendezvous in Roche Harbor on San Juan Island.
Both Jeff and John are U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Masters
The cost of the trip is $2,000 per boat for the two week trip.
We will provide:
Planning Logistics
Guidance Moorage Reservations
Travel Instructions
Since there are two licensed captains on this trip, we can help boaters to improve their maritime skills. Our goal for all of our clients is to have an excellent adventure, safe boating and become more confident in their boat handling skills.

I have a question for other Ranger Tug Owners.

For 2019, Is there a particular cruising destination that you would like to cruise to in a group type settings? This is more for the newer boaters that own Ranger Tugs rather that the experienced boaters.

We were thinking of potentially offering something in the Puget Sound, San Juans, Gulf Islands, Broughtons, or possibly a circumnavigation of Vancouver Island. This last one would not be for people brand new to boating.

Just trying to get some info of where newer boat owners would like to cruise to.

Thanks for any input.

John

Hi, Jeff here. We are also looking into the possibility of doing a fall (post-rendezvous, 2019) Columbia River guided cruise, but need to know if there is interest out there for something like that. Our thoughts are perhaps doing a long trip one way (downstream), maybe even starting in the Snake River and ending up in Portland or even Astoria.
Please let us know if you have destinations in mind as we are currently planning our 2019 schedule as well as getting the reservations for the Tug Travelers 2018 Desolation Cruise set up.
We need your feedback.
Thanks,
Jeff and John
