In the cockpit is a switch that turns on the cockpit small blue lights but none of the other lights. I can’t tell if the underwater lights are illuminated. There are several outside small lights on the transom and one on each side of the hull. Four of the transom light are identified in the c28 manual as brake or backup lights. I am told by Cutwater that all of such lights only come on when the boat is on the trailer and the connection is in a compartment with access at the front of the v berth. Since I do not have the trailer nothing is in such compartment. So I understand why the backup and brake transom lights do not come on. But why don’t the other lights come on as well. Appreciate anyone’s thoughts on this.

I also have a 2019 C28. The switch in the cockpit turns on the blue lights located in the cockpit, the underwater lights on the trim tabs, and the blue lights up high on the sides of the boat. The other lights on the transom and on the sides of the boat are clearance lights that get hooked up when the boat is being trailered. The connection plug is on a cable lead that you pull out from the anchor locker. The cable is long enough to reach over the bow and plug into a short cable on the trailer. The lights then work in conjunction with the trailer lights.

Thanks Gypsy. Someone else in a phone call referenced the lights high up on the sides of the boat. Aside from the lights on the top which light up the red and green makers I cannot find any other lights up there. I do have the lights on the sides of the hull which you say light up when the trailer lights are hooked up.

There are blue lights on each side of the boat above the windows, under the overhang. They work in conjunction with the cockpit and under water lights.

I turned on the lights in the dark and saw the lights above the windows come on. I was previously looking for lights up there just like the small lights in the cockpit.
