2019 Points North Seminar

Cruising season is just around the corner here in the Pacific Northwest. That means it’s time to sign up for our annual “Points North” Seminar. We're excited to announce that the seminar will be taught by Sam Landsman this year and will cover several topics including: popular Gulf Island and Desolation Sound cruising spots, clearing customs, anchoring, tides, currents, outfitting, stern tying, safety, Dodd Narrows, and much more. The seminar is a pre-requisite for anyone joining us on the Desolation Sound Cruise (participation in prior cruises also count towards the pre-requisite).

There are two seminar dates. Sam will teach the same course on Saturday, April 6th and Sunday, April 7th. Please sign up for whichever date is more convenient for you. The seminar will run from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm in the downstairs conference room of Elliott Bay Brewery in Lake City, WA. Please arrive at 8:30 am and join us for pastries, coffee, and juice that will be provided courtesy of Global Marine Insurance. There will also be a one-hour break for lunch. Lunch is not included but you are welcome to order from Elliott Bay Brewery, their food is delicious.

I was going to suggest the same thing; a web-inar broadcast would be great for those of us who can't attend, or filming it for later viewing would be great too.

Sam Landsman has agreed to share his slides in the past so I'll talk to him about the possibility of doing that again. We'll look into the possibility of filming and posting but it's a six hour seminar so I'll need to do some research into the logistics of that.
