2019 R-27 list to port

My R-27 with outboard list to port. Issue increases as fuel tank depletes and speed increases. Below 1/2 tank full the list is severe. After filling fuel tank boat was level at medium to high speed. Only 2 people on board. One on each side in the cabin. Any suggestions? Thank you. Garry

The normal reaction to single engine powered boat with a right hand rotating prop is a list to the port. You have a 300 hp outboard with prop torque causing the slight list. I say slight list because it seems more than it really is. Why?, because You are sitting up high off the water line in a tug. When on plane even higher. This amplifies the list. The best way to counter this list is learn to use the trim tabs not only for trimming the bow up and down but for leveling port and starboard. Once you get the bow attitude at a comfortable angle for cruising then just add a little more starboard bow down. If you are running with full tabs bump the rocker switch port up until the boat levels out. 8.6 beam boats that have higher freeboard this can be a constant job for the captain to maintain a level boat.

If you have a 9.9 kicker on your boat, then the extra weight on the port side does cause a list, even when stationary. I was able to mitigate this somewhat by moving the engine starter battery from the port locker to the starboard locker. I also keep my spare anchor and rode on the starboard side in the mid-berth. Even so I still need to tap the trim tab once or twice when underway to even out the balance.

I have a R27 I use my trim tabs every time I get on plane and it works great
HOWEVER I HAD MY STARBOARD TRIM TAB GO OUT AND HAD IT REPLACED so make sure they are both working
Also I only use my starboard tab only what ever that means ? next time I go out I will try my port side tab and see how that works because I should use both tabs

Evidence of the effect of high-torque with a 300hp OB with clockwise-rotating prop: Note the turning effort at speed. Much harder to turn to port than stbd. This is also why the port-side 'list' appears to happen.
Trim tabs work great at levelling. Not much help with turning effort tho'.

I've never noticed fuel level to affect listing... I'll pay attention to that in the future.

Our boat experiences a slight Ranger list to port. Once on plane at 4800 rpm (Suzuki 300 sweet spot), I'll trim side to side for level, then trim motor up... if it porpoises, I trim down. I usually increase rpm's 200-300 but back it down to 4800.

RT located our motor battery on starboard... could have reduced list if they located thruster battery with it.
