2019 R23 Winter Battery Disconnect Proceedure?

I have 2019 R23 with factory installed options of AC, Inverter, Charger, Solar panel, Thruster/Windlass.
For last 4 seasons boat has been stored on land. All systems were winterized. Batteries were NEVER disconnected-- however all 24/7 fuses in cave and 1 pod pump fuse (mounted on battery) were removed (House & Engine set to Off). Batteries were getting some charging from solar panel (8Amp +/_ in sun) and I would plug/charge into yard via shore power connection- a couple times during winter season. Batteries held up well and recently read 12.6-12.8 on voltmeter, before being left with dealer .
This season I needed (200hrs) Yamaha 200 engine maintenance including water pump. Boat was trailered to Yamaha Dealer and left for engine work and winter storage. I previously winterized all systems including electrical system as previously noted above.
After boat was dropped off for winter storage -- the Boat yard/dealer advised me that for insurance purposes- that they had disconnected battery--( I assume 1 negative terminal).
The question I have -- Did they need to do anything else now that batteries are disconnected, so that I do not have any electrical and/or solar panel problems in spring ? All my electrical systems were working fine when boat was delivered to yard (I am aware the batteries will need replacement-since they are almost 5yrs old & not being charged this winter ).
Any thoughts/comments appreciated.
 
Hello,

I was told (but don't remember who) that you should cover the solar panel prior to reconnecting the ground. Apparently you could damage the panel as the ground is reconnected. And I cover the panel as I sometimes disconnect the battery cables to clean them.
