Hello Tugnuts,

We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting a modified version of our Ranger Tugs & Cutwater Boats Factory Rendezvous this year in Roche Harbor from September 9-12, 2021.

This year’s Factory Rendezvous will have a new look, but the goals are the same, to have fun on our Ranger Tugs and Cutwaters and to spend time with friends. We really missed seeing everyone last year and we’re thrilled to reconnect!

We are introducing two changes worth noting to the event format for 2021. First, instead of large group dinners in the tent, we will be hosting happy hour on the dock and a special welcome party happy hour in one of Roche Harbor’s beautiful venues.

Secondly, although we will have customer service representatives on the dock to mingle and answer questions, there will not be a customer service desk or parts desk at the rendezvous this year. Our representatives will not be able to work on boats during the rendezvous so any repairs will need to be scheduled before or after the event. If you need spare parts, please contact our parts department and we can arrange to have those shipped directly to you.

This year’s rendezvous has a Hawaiian Luau theme. Wear your favorite Hawaiian Luau gear to happy hour on Saturday because there will be judges roaming the dock to award prizes for best-dressed! There will also be prizes for the best-decorated boat (judging takes place Saturday from noon-3:30pm).

The event schedule will be slightly different this year, but you can expect all the same fun events to take place. We are continuing our “Learning Center” series of informational talks. The cornhole tournament will be as fierce as ever, the fishing and crabbing derbies are going to happen, and the scavenger hunt will be back this year (with a fun new twist)! USCG Aux will be on-site to provide vessel exams, we will have 2022 Ranger Tugs and Cutwater Boats on display for you to tour and we’re working with Kevin from Roche Harbor to put together a golf tournament (more info coming).

You’ll want to bring something that two people can float in and paddle so you can take part in the always popular blindfolded dinghy race. We’ll have two races, one for Ranger Tug/Cutwater Boat branded dinghies and one for the “run what ya brung” class where almost anything that floats is allowed (as long as it’s safe).

We will post the event schedule as soon as the details are finalized. See you soon!

I have a quick reservation question.
The info said $50 per adult, so I registered for two adults (myself and Dan) - then the registration page asked for boat information for each of us. We'll both be on just the one boat so I put in the same boat info for each of us - did I do this correctly? Or did I just inadvertently block out two dock spaces?

Same question...I did the same thing and it looks like having one reservation for the two of us should prompt Roche to reserve just one slip.

Thank you Sam n Fluid Motion for working on getting things put together for the Roche Harbor Rendezvous’ return. We’ve missed getting together with the Fluid Motion team and welcome the opportunity for continuing the tradition of participating with our fellow Tugnut owners.

Hello all,

We're new to this event. Does the reservation include a slip? If not how should we secures one?

Secondly we have two friends that we registered as guests. They won't be staying on our boat but at a family home on the island. Will our guests be allowed to participate in activities or should we get them registered also?

Thanks,

Doug

jadeddo and johnniethek, you did it correctly. Tickets are per-person. We remove any duplicate boat listings before we give the list to Roche for slip assignments.

Sorry, I know it's a little confusing but it's the best way we've found to set it up so that nametags and the contact list all print with full and accurate information for each attendee.

I'll take another look and see if there is a way to clarify further. thanks.

Hi there, you will pay Roche Harbor for a slip when you arrive. Once you register for the event with the link above, you do not need to do anything further. We will give your boat information to Roche Harbor. They will have your boat information and slip assignment when you radio in upon your arrival.

If your guests will be joining for happy hours, please register them. The registration is how we calculate quantities for food and drinks. Thank you!

Hi Jim and Lisa! We are very excited. I can tell by the number of registrations this morning that we're not the only ones! It's going to be great to see everyone again.

About the slip question……in the past if you wanted to arrive before the Rendezvous dates or stay after you’d need to make those reservations dates on your own.

Thanks Ranger for setting up another Rendezvous. Though the last time I went it cost me over $300,000.

We are registered, but we put down that we were going to arrive on Sept. 7th. After calling the marina they are not sure the 7th is available. I imagine we are automatically registered for the event starting on Sept. 8th. Correct?

Thanks again,

Just took delivery on our new R27 Friday

Just registered for Rendezvous today!

This is awesome.

Took a quick look at resort. Did you all block rooms as well? 9/8-12 show no availability.

Hi Morgan and Aileen, I've reached out to Roche and will get an answer on this today.

thank you!

Hi there,

quick update. I haven't heard back from Roche on Morgan and Aileen's question about arrival prior to the 8th. I suspect that they are very busy with this weekend's events and that I will hear back after the holiday.

jimjudynick, We do have a room block for our employees and vendors. If I have an extra room, do you want me to get a hold of you so you can put your name on it before I give it to Roche?

thanks, Sam

Sam, if you still have a spare room after jimjudynick responds I’ll take it.

Cheers,

no problem. I'll let you know. I should have our rooms finalized in a week or two.

Sam,

I see the reference to Parts being shipped to us.

If we get our pre-paid order for parts into the Parts Dept, would they be able to deliver them to the Rendezvous?
That would be a great option for those of us who don't live in the PNW or have local addresses.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Sam,

Thanks for the offer. My co-captain says that we are to experience the rendezvous dockside, not in a hotel!!! She reminds me THATs why we bought our tug after all.

We got a short two months to get accustomed to her as this will be our longest trip. First of many we hope. Looking forward to meeting some fellow “nuts”!

Since this will be our first time up to the San Juan Islands in our r23 will there be groups heading from Des Moines or the South Sound that we can join up with?
Charlie

Hmmm,
Unable to purchase tickets.... Sold out?
