The starboard sliding window fell off the boat while out . It appears that they track for the sliding window is attached using just two way sticky tape. It appears the tape dried out and the bottom track separated causing the window to fall out (unfortunately in 200 feet of water)

Has anyone else seen this? No world back from the factory on support….I was thinking of scraping away the dried up tape and attaching the track using 3M 4200 sealant.

I was also thinking of putting a bead along the bottom of the port side as well to give some additional support. Any thoughts or suggestions?

There are a few posts on this from prior owners. Happened to me the first trip over to the island, after we bought the boat, woke up the first day after the crossing and the port window was hanging over the side. I had to make the repairs on the mooring, using my dingy as the workstand, cleaning up the old adhesive, I used a mix of 5200 in the center of the frame where it sticks to the hull, then re-enforced it with JB Weld epoxy on the outside of the frame, using blue tape to keep it even between the hull and the frame. It's what I had to work with 26 miles from the beach, and has help perfectly for 2 years.
