Hi Tugnuts,

It’s an exciting day, registration is open for the early June Gulf Island trips and the Desolation Sound cruise!

We are headed back to Ganges Marina and Poets Cove in early June for a fun, long weekend at two of our favorite Canadian Gulf Island destinations. Ganges Marina is under new management this year so we're looking forward to meeting the new team. They've been great to work with so far. Poets Cove has fewer transient slips available each year but they still save everything they have for us and we're grateful for that! Both locations will have identical itineraries and we'll have several factory employees at each event. It's shaping up to be a super fun weekend. if you're the competitive type, you might want to brush up on your flip cup skills. Kenny made some big bets last year and had to pay dearly when he lost the challenge for his team (thanks, Kenny 🙁 ).

The trip up to Desolation Sound is going to be amazing. Telegraph Harbour has been sold but the new owners are welcoming us back. Comox has once again extended a warm welcome to our group and Gorge Harbour is happy to have us as well. Gorge is undergoing extensive renovations this year but the guest dock will remain open so we're going! More details on this are published in the registration page linked below.

Due to very limited dock space for the Desolation trip, we have a few prerequisites to join that cruise. To qualify for the Desolation Sound trip, you must have purchased your boat through the factory or an authorized dealer. We also ask that you have not participated in the cruise with your current boat before. For US boaters, participation in a prior Canadian cruise is also a requirement (attending the 2023 Ganges Marina/Poets cruise does fulfill this requirement).

We are finalizing the Roche Harbor Rendezvous details and will post the link to register for that event soon. Let us know if you have any questions. We’re very excited to go cruising with you this summer!

Hi All,

we've had some cancelations over the past week and we now have a few slips open at Poets and Ganges. If you are able to join us, please visit this link today https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2023-gange ... 5671938997

We're really looking forward to it this trip, we hope you can join us. Our reservation with Poets must be finalized by tomorrow so please sign up asap if you can make it.

thank you!

Sam

Hello,

We just took delivery of our R-29CB (currently Crea-Mara, but soon to be Pluto) from Port Boat House. Would love to attend one of the cruises. We are @ Royal Victoria and would be happy to do either a gulf island or preferrably (Im American 🙂) somewhere in the San Juans but just saw the link would not let us sign up. Look forward to meeting everyone. Also have a bunch of stuff we are going to sell that we dont need (cockpit carpets, custom bedding from previous owner, ect).

Best,
Chris

Hi Chris,

Congratulations! We should be able to get you in at Ganges. Would that work for you? Shoot me an email with your contact information please. sambisset@fluidmotionmarine.com

thank you!

Good afternoon, anyone meeting in Anacortes to launch up to Telegraph Harbor for the Desolation Sound Trip? We have a R23 and the first time for us headed up that way.

We are planning to cruise to Telegraph from Kingston Friday morning. We'll be cruising up Saratoga Passage but weren't planning on going to Anacortes. I would love to form a flotilla for the cruise, we'll be going by Everett and not too far from Anacortes. I've attached a tentative route that we expect to take. If you can cruise at 20 knots or above we'd love to cruise with you! We could meet anyone anywhere along our way.

We intend (emphasis added) to depart Kingston around 9:00 AM, passing Everett around 9:45, Oak Harbor around 10:45, hitting Deception Pass around 11:30 (slack is at 12:37, allowing for being a little late) then to Bedwell Harbour around 1:30 and then arriving at Telegraph Harbour at roughly 3:00 PM.

This float plan is based on 25 kt cruising speed, our mileage may vary.

We had a great time cruising with Knot Flying Two up to Ganges and back!

Any and all are welcome, we would love to have a big group!

Adam, we’ll link up with you at Oak Harbor, home port for us.

Awesome, sounds good Mike. We have to be back to Kingston on Friday so we're going to cruise to Poet's cove (Bedwell Harbour) on Wednesday and spend the night there, returning to Kingston Thursday.

No idea what your plans are for after the rendezvous but just putting that out there in case you'd like to return together as well.

I'll get you my cell number.

Cheers!

We will be leaving Cap Sante 7/18 with a stop in Friday Harbor and entering Canada at Sidney 7/20. We might be a bit slow for your plans. We can go 20 KT but prefer to cruise between 7.5-10 KT.
