2023 Fluid Motion Factory Rendezvous at Roche Harbor

We are leaving this afternoon and will spend Tuesday night in Reid Harbor on Stuart Island. That will make it easy to arrive at noon on Wednesday. My friend owns the property just as you enter the harbor on the starboard side. He has a dock and owns 40 acres most the way through Johns Pass. If you are planning something similar feel free if you see are boat at the dock to stop by.

Will the marina have staff to assist/guide boats coming in a little later around the 5-6 range on Wednesday? Website shows marina office 9-5 and Harbor Master until sunset.

Thanks.
Mark and Anne-Marie.

Hope you all have a great time.

We're back on land making sure kiddo has a great start to Grade 2 this morning. 🙂

I see Eventbrite shows a few tickets available. Does this mean there are still slips available for this weekend?

Unfortunately for us, I just tested positive for Covid this morning, my wife on Sunday, so I just had to cancel our event and moorage reservations today. Really bummed, but Hopeful there’s room for you now!

Our Journey (C-28) will be at the Roche Harbor fuel dock late Thursday afternoon. Topping off with diesel before heading to Victoria’s Causeway Marina for a long weekend as we start a 2 week cruise. Looking forward to seeing Roche’s guest dock overloaded with Ranger Tugs and Cutwaters!

You should stop by for a few and say hi! We are in slip 32.

Martin,
Thanks! If we arrive early enough we will try to “walk the dock” and say Hi. Need to be fueled up and on the way before 5 PM. Anchoring in Garrison Bay for the night.

There should be dock hands available still at that time. When you radio in, let them know that you'd like someone to come grab a line. I don't think that will be a problem at all.

See you soon!

Yes, I am too!

Are the seminar presentations going to be posted anywhere? There was some fantastic information in them but I will admit my note taking leaves much to be desired.

I will be giving the SE Alaska presentation again.

OCTOBER 25, 6-8PM in the Blue Heron room above the Scuttlebutt Brewery, Everett Marina.
Everett Yacht Club Education Night - Everybody is welcome to attend.

2,600 miles, 55 days, 3 adults, 3 dogs, on a 27 foot boat.
Everett to Glacier Bay and back.
We spent the entire month of June in SE Alaska.
How much did I spend on fuel? What's the range on the boat? Any lessons learned? Would we do it again? What was the most challenging part of the trip? What did we enjoy the most? All this and more will be answered in this presentation.

Presentation Agenda:
* Introduction
* Cruising SE Alaska
* Trip Summary
* The Four Gates
* Be Prepared
* Lessons Learned

Hi Factory:

Wondering if we can plan for the same post-Labor Day weekend time frame for the 2024 Rendezvous-vous at Roche Harbor?

It’d be helpful to know in advance.

Thank you!

Hi there, yes! You can plan for the same weekend. That is "our" weekend at Roche. So, the event would start on Thursday the 5th.

Sam

Thanks, Sam. Looking forward to it!

Wouldn't the 5th be the Thur after Labor Day for 2024?

The rendezvous at Roche is always the weekend after Labor Day. So, yes, in 2024 September 5th is after Labor Day.

Cheers,

Bruce
