2023 R25 refrigerator light

We were winterizing the boat and turned off the refrigerator. However the light stayed on. We may have not noticed that in prior years since we left the door partially open to avoid mold forming. is that normal? Does the light only go out when the house batteries are shut off for the season?

Yes, I believe that is the case. On my 2025 R23 I must turn off the house bank when the fridge is off to keep the light off when the door is ajar.

Yes, that is our experience as well (2024 R25). When we turn off the fridge and leave the door slightly ajar (to prevent mold), the light will stay on. Turning off the House battery will turn that light off.

I use blue painters' tape to turn off our refrigerator light while defrosting and then later turn the battery switch off.

Just did this yesterday, there is a 20 amp fuse for ours. The fuse is located in the cave. 2025 R29-CB. That will kill the light.
