Owner of a 2024 R25 Ranger Tug and I noticed a smell from the bathroom that I assumed was coming from the head, however checked and nothing was there. I looked in the forward bilge and there is about an inch of water that looks to be from the head and smell awful. Has anyone else had this issue? Trying to get to the bottom of why the bilge pump doesn’t seem to respond to the manual switch but does turn on occasionally on its own.

Change the pump/float or switch.Do NOT skimp on bilge pumps.
Make sure the stern is floating lower than the bow.
Use metal rods, clothes hangers, etc. to rod out the weep holes in the bilge stringers - they are plugged.
Lots of Pine-Sol and endless water rinsing is your friend when dealing with sewage in the bilge
Once you have that solved get friends with boat experience to help you find the leak. Probable hose clamp. (mirrors, lights, fiber optic scope, etc.)
