The 2026 Fluid Motion Factory Cruise to the Southern Gulf Islands in British Columbia is officially open for registration!
Dates: May 28- May 31 2026
Locations: Poet's Cove Resort and Marina on S. Pender Island AND Port of Sidney Marina on Vancouver Island. Both are brilliant locations for epic marine get togethers.
Just like last year we have 2 locations and both will have roughly the same schedule. Two nights of happy hours and one Factory hosted BBQ. The now famous appetizer contest will return , so tune up your recipes. Trivia night , Chip and Sip and that flippy cup game will be on the agenda, as well. Promises to be a blast!
The EventBrite registration process is the same as last year.. There is one link for Poet's Cove and one link for Port of Sidney. Choose one.

When either location fills up, you will have the option to join the waitlist. You can be confirmed at one location and waitlisted for the other.
"Tickets" are per boat, not per person, so only one is needed.

Who else’s is looking forward to this? We are taking a full 5 days to hit up some anchorages and harbours on our way down from Vancouver. Can’t wait - we will be out for over a week!

We plan in grabbing a mooring ball at Montague harbor on May 27th. There may be some other fluid motion boats too.
Usually plenty of room during the week there. Join us!
 
We love Montague.
Our plan was Silva Bay to Princess Cove to Montague to Winter Cove and to approach Poets through the bridge.
If folks are headed to Montague for the 27th we may modify to join.
 
We are traveling to Anacortes to meet the group for the Port of Sidney cruise. Anyone traveling North from the Seattle vecinity to Anarcotes for a buddy boat trip?

Bummer, I already have plans for those dates. I WILL however, see you at Roche Harbor later in the year.
 
We are just days away from the Southern Gulf Factory Cruise and it’s too quiet in this thread given how close we are to the big event!

We are taking our time getting to Poets from Vancouver

Saturday Silva Bay
Sunday Pirates Cove
Monday pirates cover/Clam Bay or Princess/Conover Cove
Tuesday Princess/Conover or Montague
Wednesday Montague
Thursday to Poets!

Everything is subject to change of course and we might put Otter Bay in there if we want to stay on a dock for the dogs.

Will be watching for Ranger Tugs along the way.
 
Plus one for Princess cove Tuesday and Montague harbor on Wednesday.

Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new friends.

We will be in the Brentwood Bay Area Friday and Saturday night, then Telegraph, Otter Bay and Ladysmith. Meeting up Wednesday in Montague before heading to Sidney for the Factory Rendezvous
