21EC Mystery Canvas.

Hi Gang,

I've got a small piece of canvas that came with my boat and I literally don't have a clue what it's for.

It looks to be about 18x24" in overall size and tapers from the top being narrower to the bottom being widest. It has Velcro strip running the length of the 24"dimension with hook on one edge and loop on the other. I assume it is meant to wrap around something but I can't for the life of me figure out what.

Can anyone solve this case for me?

Nope. It would be too small to cover the table. Although, maybe it's for the chrome table support that sits in the aft locker. It was in the same bag that contained the privacy covers for the windows.

Also have "Mystery piece". Think it covers the Cockpit Table Bracket. Bracket is Stainless, so I guess its there to make sure everything matches. Haven't tried mine yet, so let me know.

It is to wrap around the steering cables that come from underneath the "dash" and disappear behind the side console. Some use it/like it, some don't. I happen to think it is a positive.

I think you may have solved the mystery. The shape and length would certainly lend itself to wrap the steering cables. I will give it a try when I'm at the boat tomorrow.
