Hello, I have a 21EC that I would like to mount a custom made arch/rod holder.
Still in the early design stage but was wondering if it would be best to mount
it directly to the roof or would it be better to mount it on the verticle face
over the top of the sliding cabin door? I guess it will depend on where the
thickest fiberglass is located.
Any thoughts are welcome.

I had my arch, and frame bolted where the rod holders go so I could get at the bolts from the cup holder. the stern is attached to the rail at the same location as the vertical supports and it is attached at the front on the rail also about 6 inches back from the step. I did not mount to the cabin as the canvas roof panel will be removable between the cabin and the top. also to provide more head room. The arch is a 2 inch tube, the balance of the tubes are 1inch, and it has a tube above it for a solar panel. Canvas is being finihsed now. I should have pcitures in a week or so.

How is your project going? Would love to see a picture of it when you get a chance. Thanks!

Been away from the boat, will be back on it later this week to take pictures of the top canvas and full cover. Will post soon.
