I plan to install the new Standard Horizon GX2200 to add AIS (receive only) on my 21EC. I started to run a shielded 22/4 from the radio to the plotter as instructed by the local dealer. I pulled the headliner strip off and dropped the pipe down. I fished the wire down the pipe and ran from the pipe towards the bow along with all the other wires that are hidden under there. I figured this was more than a one beer project so I only brought a fishrod to get the wire down the pipe. I now have about 2 feet of wire by the radio and a nice coil below the sink.

So here are my questions:

1) There are about 3 wires at the top of the pipe that are not attached to anything. I remember one being purple. What are they for?

2) There is a black wire with yellow tape on it up by the radio. It has a crimp connector on it that has never been crimped. What is it for and where is the other end just in case I want to use it in the future as I will no longer need the blue wire that went from the radio to the plotter?

3) I now need to fish my coil of wire down the clam shell flex and over to the refrigerator side. What is the best way to do this? Does the fridge need to come out? Will my beer get warm if the fridge is removed? How about the lime-a-ritas? Any chance a fishtape will come out on the fridge side if i feed it from the sink side?

I have had the head liner down many times for feeding wires down the pipe and other projects. All the wires on mine are connected to something so I can't help you there but the fridge comes out real easy. On mine there is enough wire to sit it out side the door. I found I was able to reach my hand under the door sill from the fridge side and over to the sink side and grab the wires that I had dropped down. I removed the floor in the cabinet which is easy. While you have the fridge out look for all the things that have fallen down behind the fridge, not that I would know of coarse. I have all my extra cable labeled and hiding in this area.

I'm a wino so can't help you on the beer topic.
