302c Yamaha engine tilt

Does anyone know if there is and adjustment for the trim on the 302c Yamaha engines . When I trim the engine’s all the way up at the dock the lower legs and props are still in the water making it hard to keep clean

Are you using the TRIM control at the helm or the TILT control on the starboard side of the engine? If you are using the TILT control, you need to hold it until it stops. The TILT starts out at fast, hits a 'stop' and then continues more slowly. Your prop should be out of the water. Depending on weight distribution and how the motor was mounted, the skeg may still be in the water.

Hello,

The only part of the outboard that would be in the water would be the forward point of the lower unit. If the whole lower and prop is in the water I would make sure you are holding the trim switch all the way till the engine stops going up, weather it be at the helm shifter or at the engine switch itself. If the engines are still in the water like you describe I would have you check the pod for water to ensure there isn't a weight problem like stated above.
