Any of you have experience with this product? It gets good reviews for use on a variety of surfaces. We're looking for something for rub rails, specifically, but it sounds like it could protect other parts of the boat.

Thanks,

Bruce

While 303 is a fine product, it doesnt seem to offer much more than your typical ArmorAll. When I was searching for some magic answer to the chalking & fading of the gelcoat "brows" over the windows, someone swore by 303 for this. When I applied it, it looked fantastic, but when I returned days later, the dullness had returned. The gelcoat fading is the subject of many other threads, but, suffice it to say that there is no magic bullet for that problem. We can still rely on the 303 to do a great job on rubber & vinyl, etc.

has anyone tried a teflon treatment to combat the gel-coat fading?

I've used 303 for several years on my previous boats. It's a great sunscreen for hard to wax areas like the no slip and helps things stay new. It's not really designed to brings back gelcoat that is showing age or wear.

Wax is better, but spray on and wipe off has its benefits! One caveat...it's slick for the first couple of days and will make your no slip, slip.

I use the Colinite Fleet Wax #885 twice a year. I used it on my C-Dory when I had it for 5 years and it looked great after 5 years.
