Couple questions to put out to the forum.

1. Does anybody know what the yellow colored dip stick is for on the port side forward aspect of the engine fairly low near the bottom of the engine? It seems that Yanmar neglected this one before printing the manual....it's probably with the rest of the need information that the decided to leave out.

2. How the heck do you get the bottom zinc off that is located on the raw water side of the engine? It's a 24mm socket with an engine mounting bolt right behind it. Specifically does anyone use a special tool? There's not enough room to get a wrench on it and and I've tried a universal joint on my socket wrench with poor purchase and no room to make a turn on the zinc.

3. Does anyone else find that everything on this engine is extremely tight? Maybe I just need to eat my spinich before trying to work on this engine.?

I'll try to answer Seekers questions. You should double check with Andrew or Kenny but I seem to remember our engines have a spare dip stick for some reason. Next you asked about that troublesome lower engine pencil zinc. I had a lot of trouble with this my first time and Mike on Illusions suggested a universal wrench like you mentioned. I bought one at Sears, with a 10 inch long handle, with a swivel head. In addition I bought a universal joint swivel socket in order to get a little more clearance and leverage on the pencil zinc head. This set up works for me on our 180 and I'd think the 150 would be similiar. Hope this helps.
