2012 Cutwater Yanmar 4by2 Engine stalls while underway, we lose yanmar i5601E screen but screen comes back on within seconds. Trouble shooting and can't isolate the issue. Has this ever happened to you? If yes, what was the issue? Thank you ahead of time for any help!

Sounds like it could be an electrical issue. Grounding is of utmost importance with these engines. Make sure that your ground wire to the engine is in good shape. I actually ran an additional ground straight from the engine battery to the engine. Also, there are two smaller wires ( post and neg) that run from the engine battery to the ECU. Make sure they are clean and have a good bond also. If all that checks out and you still have a problem I would check all your. On ections on the ignition switch.

After making sure the electrical contacts are good as Knotflying suggests I would look at the fuel and air supply.
After it stalls out underway does it restart and Idle normally? If it does it could be a fuel issue, clogged filters, bad load of fuel, water in fuel etc. How's the air filter? Remove the air filter and check the blades on the turbo, they should spin freely.
On page 12-8 in the service manual there are 3 relays inside the ECU. The middle one is for the fuel pump,
check it for corrosion etc. Might want to change it out for a new one. You should be able to get one at a NAPA store, they are BMW parts.
Keep us posted on the outcome.

This is a control module ground issue that is covered by warrenty by Yanmar.
No time limit on the warrenty, the unit is sent back to Yanmar & is updated
See your Yanmar dealer that is nearest you for update to the control unit module, it is located under the floorboard just after you enter the cabin from the cockpit.
