We have a 2012 R29 and plan to replace the mixing elbow this fall. Our engine has the 120650-13930 mixing elbow. The water line from the packing nut is screwed into the zinc port on the mixing elbow. I've seen users talk about switching to the HDI marine stainless mixing elbow. That stainless steel part doesn't have a hole for a zinc, so the waterline can't be plugged into the elbow. Have any other R29 owners switched to the stainless elbow, and if so, how did you handle the water line to the stuffing box?
