80 gal fresh

I have a 2019 C302, the specs.say it has a 80 gal fresh water tank. I have always though the water supply ran out quickly for a 80 gallon tank. I decided to measure the gallons when the tank was completely empty. I was only able to fill the tank with 42 to 43gallons. Looking at the tank visionally it does not look like it is 80 gal. in size just my opinion. Is it possible the wrong tank was installed or is the specification incorrect. Looking forward to possible shedding light on my confusion. THANK YOU

From my understanding, some measurements are quoted to include water in the lines + hot water tank in the overall calculation.

This isn't usable water, as without a prime on the pump, you can't get anything more out.

I believe for the R31 they have changed the literature to say 60 gallons instead of 80 gallons, but they didn't change anything on the boat.

Thank you for the reply, I did see where they reduced the capacity from 80gal to 60gal . For several years it listed 80. Just a little disappointed when you think you have 80 gal when you're on the hook but only have a little over40. I am going to Bahamas this summer again where the boat shines. Love my boat
