A Northwest Ranger Rendezvous?

No, no trailering. We went as far as Skagway and then back via Glacier Bay and Anan Bear Observatory.

The Lucky Fin plans on attending. Our idea is to go by way of the factory and get the stern thruster fixed. If Andrew will chime in here and confirm a time for the repair we can lay out the itinerary. Before we leave Montana, I will print out some of the posts on this thread for direction.

We hope to meet you all that attend.

Andrew, You can p-mail me, for best time.

Please add a new R29 to the list.
Boat Name = Sporty 2
Customer name = Pete Cleland

Andrew,
Could you please get me photos of Sporty2, Minnow Rouge, and Blessings?
Thank you

After reading all posts on this thread and copying the pertinent ones, I find no instructions where a person can launch and where will he leave trailer and tow rig. It has been close to 50 years since I have been there. Can anyone post addresses or better yet pictures or charts of Marina, ETC.
Looking forward to this shindig. 😀

I guess we will leave here on the 8th or 9th to stop at the factory first. Maybe it will be a good time to get a couple of scratches fixed as well as the stern thruster. The prop is still there. Must be shear pin.

Captd,
My plan right now is to launch Solitude at the Brownsville Marina which is just a few (5-10) miles north of Bremerton. They will allow you to leave your truck and trailer for two weeks in a safe lot.

Solitude will also be making a stop at the factory prior to the rendezvous.

Your going to make me work now 😀 I will see what I can do. Would you like me to send files directly to you?

Be sure to say HI to the manager, Jerry Rowland, from Joe and Sparky Bradley. Jerry is an old friend of ours, and we kept our sailboat at his marina for a while.

Please add Bill Linscott to the list of tugs to show.

Pre-Ranger - 25
Earlyviking [CDory owner] and friend, would like to visit on Saturday for the trip to Poulsbo on someones Ranger 25 - plan to stay all day if that is OK.
Jim

Jim,
You are welcome to stay all day. There will be a number of "factory vessels" there so I am sure that we can hook you up for a ride to Poulsbo and back.

I spoke with Bremerton Marina today. This will be the biggest event they have ever had since the "remodel"! They are excited. I bumped the reservations to 30 vessels! And to think, at one point I thought it was only going to be two vessels!

The overnight fees are as follows:
If you are on the breakwater, $.60 per foot or $15.00 per night plus $4.00 for power. Overflow (yes, we may have overflow!) will go to the "P" dock at a fee of $26.00 per night plus the $4.00 for power. Space assignments will be in order of confirmation thus those that spoke up first will pay the least. The feeling with the marina management is we will get most people onto the breakwater.

Items that are needed if you are so inclined to bring them along:
Two "very large" bags of Charcoal
Ice for cocktails
As I have said numerous times it is BYOB on Saturday night. Food will be provided.

"Goodie" bags will be provided to the first twenty five vessels that confirmed. We have run out of time to order additional items.

Jeff and Andrew are putting together raffles and such.

Please, if you say you are coming in on "such and such" a day, let me know if you change it. I will be meeting with the marina management on Tuesday afternoon the 8th to go over final arrangements. Any vessel can come in early, we just need to know in order to give the marina the heads up.

All I can say is "watch out Bremerton"! Here we come!

Local Knowledge would sure be useful. What is the best way get there? Go down around Tacoma or cross over with the ferry? Ferry cost?
Looks like Brownsville is the only recommended launch with a good place to leave rig, huh? Address of either or lat lon of launch or marina would help?

I've google mapped the Bremerton port area and it looks to be adjacent to the Naval base with very large ships. It's also adjacent to the Ferry dock piers. It's unclear to me where one is supposed to dock to meet up.

Is there a detailed map of the Bremerton port I can use to figure out where to meet the Ranger boats and tie up etc.

Thanks.... 🙂

Go to www.portofbremerton.org
Look for the Marinas link across the top, then Bremerton Marina. There is also a link for Rich Passage GPS coordinates.

There is also a great aerial shot so you can see what the layout is. Looks like you can enter from either side, and park along the long inside wall.

A note to visiting boaters not familiar with the Seattle ferries. We always found it advantageous to print out the Seattle Ferry schedule so you know when the boats will be moving. We sailed there until we moved to Virginia 2 years ago, and let me warn you that the ferries do not care about the small boaters. We swear they would aim for us! So we always kept up on the departure times from Bremerton....

They have a reservation list on line, which only shows 10 boats for your Ranger Rendesvous. Perhaps the organizers should double check on this?

Have I mentioned how jealous we are of all of you? We moved east why?

Hi Captd

If you are coming to Northwest Rendezvous by way of I 90 I would suggest turning off at Echo Glen on to highway 18 and thru Auburn and then on to I 5 south bound to Tacoma then take Highway 16 across Narrows bridge. (Since they built a new bridge makes much easier to get Bremerton).
This save you from traveling in heavy congested Seatlle Area also the ferries could be a little bet pricey since you are pulling a boat. I 405 also could be heavy congestion area.

Tug of My Heart.

Thanks Dennis and sparky, thats what I was looking for.

Hi David,
Can you please add us to the list of Rendezvous attendees. We're planning to head down from the Sunshine Coast
of B.C. on our new R-25 with a planned arrival on Friday Sept. 11 weather depending...
Look forward to meeting other Tugnuts!!
