Lots of discussions of insurance in previous posts, so this is just a reminder to occasionally update/refresh your insurance carrier. When we moved the boat from San Francisco to Seattle, the insurer raised our rates by almost a third. I can think of no rational reason for this. Maybe its because people in the PNW use their boats more (which is almost certainly true) so they have more claims? It's not like there's risk of hurricanes. Tsunamis? Regardless, the very nice folks at Global Marine shopped around for me and not only was my rate reduced, but it was substantially less than I was paying in San Francisco when all said and done.

Insurance is a small dollar cost relative to the boat, but worth paying attention to.

Just a friendly reminder.

Nope. Ranger tugs get their own special insurance policy.
