I need to figure out what my Abso charger is doing when generating solar power. So when the MPPT Controller is off, all three battery banks (House,Eng,Thruster) are sitting at 13.3v. During solar production, my house will jump up along with the solar output (13.5v-14.0v) and my Eng and Thruster batteries will slowly drop off to 12.7v-12.5v. These two batteries are not getting a charge from the Abso or Solar at this point. Once solar MPPT turns off and House slowly dissipates to 13.3v, then banks 2/3 kick in and charge Eng and Thruster to 13.3v. The cycle repeats itself every day.
Background
- Bought 2020 R23 used. Installed Victron MPPT 100/30 MPPT and 210w panel tied directly to House Bank
- Discovered no ACR between House and Eng battery, only between Eng and Thruster (F200 has dual charging to Eng and House)
-Installed Victron shunt/CerboGX/Battery Sense and can monitor batteries from anywhere using Victron Portal
So why is the Abso not charging the Eng and Thruster when the House is being charged by the Solar? The Abso 1220 should allow banks 2/3 to charge when bank 1 hits float according to the manual. My initial thought was that somehow the Abso is in Power Supply (Program Setting) because it is maintaining the batteries at 13.3v and not 13.5v, but in Program Setting, banks 2/3 are disabled and shouldn't come on at all.Any thoughts?? When I'm on the boat I use the parallel switch to connect all three during solar charging. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
