I have a R23 on order
Our new Ranger Tug R23 LE has the Wabasto reverse cycle AC unit. We boat in Louisville, Kentucky where its gets quite warm and humid. I like leaving the AC on 24/7 when on shore power. My question is, when away from the boat should I leave the AC on cool at an elevated unoccupied setting or use the dehumidify setting. The dehumidifying setting maintains an excellent comfort level when boarding the boat. But this setting cycles the compressor continuously at 6 minutes on, 4 minutes off with the fan on low. Whereas if I left it in cool mode the unit could cycle off for longer periods of time, especially at night. I am concerned about excess cycling of components in dehumidify mode. Which mode would provide the most longevity of the unit?
Thanks
Bob

It’s normal for the Webasto to run for 6 minutes on and 4 minutes off in the dehumidify setting. If that’s how it’s programmed to operate, I wouldn’t be too concerned. However, I wouldn’t recommend leaving it running like that 24/7.

Thanks Jared, that is my thinking now.
