I have a 2018 C28 and was going to check coolant level (as I saw a low coolant icon on the Penta display for a few seconds while leaving the marina), and it looks like the cap is positioned directly below the flooring between the engine compartment and the cabin door entry. You can get your hand in there to remove the cap, but there is no way to visually check the coolant, or easily top off the coolant. I tried the hatch right inside the doorway, even less access there.

How do you check coolant level in this situation?

I'm assuming you fill the coolant using a funnel with a flexible hose?

Thanks in advance!

I use a flashlight to see the coolant level. I have a funnel with a long 'neck' to add coolant.

I've even used a paper towel or just dipped my finger to check the level.

Thanks for the advice, I ended up with the following solution.

For a visual check of the fluid, I start a video recording on my phone (with the flash on) and place the camera over the opening. The video gives you a great view of coolant level. On a Volvo video I saw the fluid should be above the bar, and after some coolant add, you can see the fluid flowing over it clearly. The finger trick work as well, finger gets wet before you touch the bar -- but the video gave some confidence.

I bought a funnel with 8 inches of attached flexible tube. It worked well!
Thanks again!
