Access to wiper motor R 23

After a “late in the season” delivery of my R23, she was on a mooring for about five weeks before being pulled for her winter nap. There were some whopper T storms that dumped plenty of rain. On the last ride to the launch ramp my daughter noticed water splashing onto the inside of the windshield coming from the wiper enclosure with the up-down motion to the boat through the waves. Once at home I tried to find access to that wooden box compartment housing the wiper motor. I'm pretty sure my solution would have broken something.
So, to the factory Guru’s, how do you get in there?
