Add a bow seat?

Might be nuts to ask but would it be possible/feasible to add a seat to the bow of an older R27 - I rather like the new R27’s bow seat...

That is a nice addition! I wonder if they'll try to incorporate this on the R29. I'm guessing not since it would be a redesign to allow it.

It looks like the cushions come off and the plastic folds down. Hopefully there's handles on those cushions as they could be a bit awkward to pass forward while on the chain.
 
We have the bow seat on our 27 - yes they fold down and seem to stay put unless you pull them up. The cushions have snaps so they stay in place. I hand them thru the window to my wife once she is on the bow - so getting them there is no issue.
