We are hoping to take possession of a 2012 Ranger 25SC this month. I'm a prolific modifier so hope to add all the suggestions I have found on this fantastic site and maybe some of my own. The first mod would be to add a cockpit table like I have seen on later years. Not looking for as large a table as the stock one but wonder if anyone has done a DIY leg, either into the deck or onto the face of the compartment like the stock tables.

Bumping post delayed in moderation queue.

The factory table base and table legs are from a company called ITC Manufacturing. The current model used is the Sequoia III. I replaced our boats original Sequoia II leg and base that was originally supplied on my 2017 C-28. I upgraded because the former owner lost the Sequoia II table leg. The Sequoia II and III are not compatible. Sequoia II parts are no longer available from ITC.
The Sequoia III base required drilling five new 1/4” holes through the bilge hatch and securing them with 1 1/2” long stainless bolts, large stainless fender washers and nylon insert stainless nuts. The Sequoia III base is quite a bit bigger than the II base. The old holes from the Sequoia II base were filled with marine sealant.
The height of the table leg used is 25.5”.
ITC Manufacturing also sells table tops but lots of others make wood table tops of different sizes and shapes.

I removed the factory table hardware and replaced it with this: https://itcshopnow.com/products/mod-tab ... gKYEPD_BwE
I used the original table and secured this setup to the cockpit seat….such an improvement! Now I can swing the table over the top of the seat, freeing up a lot of cockpit space but allowing use of the table .This solution works beautifully. There is a table setup available also: https://itcshopnow.com/products/mod-tab ... gKYEPD_BwE With some planning, this is an excellent solution.

That is a good looking solution. I like that it will swing out of the way when not in use and easy to remove and stow.
Once we actually have the boat I will get one on order.

Good afternoon!

We just bought a 2017 R23 and are looking to add a small cockpit table that fits in the existing base. I can't find anything online, and based on a previous post of someone with a 2017 Cutwater, it looks like the manufacturer may not even make this size post anymore. Has anybody found a solution without drilling new holes in the floor?

Thanks!

If you are missing the table leg of the Sequoia II from ITC used by Fluid Motion you are out of luck unless you can find a used one on eBay. You will need a new Sequoia III base and leg. It will require drilling new holes for the base. The Sequioa III system is much more robust and sturdier than the old Sequoia II.
As stated earlier by another 2017 owner: “The factory table base and table legs are from a company called ITC Manufacturing. The current model used is the Sequoia III. So the III leg doesn't fit in the II base? It looks like it would, but obviously I can't tell sizing from online photos.

Nope! Not even close. The Sequoia III is much bigger.

When I skimmed through the post/replies one thing is not clear: is the orignal PEDISTAL there? IF it is, you could just have a new table top custom made to suit and use the old pedistal. I know a cabinet maker in Allyn who does nice, breathtaking job on anything he tackles and if you are a boater, he goes the extra mile

The manufacturer, ITC, calls it the Sequoia III Table Leg System. There are three components: base, table leg and table top mounting bracket. The Sequoia III base, table leg and table top mounting bracket are not compatible with their corresponding Sequoia II predecessors. If you damage or lose any of the Sequoia II components, you need to replace the entire Sequoia II System parts with the Sequoia III set. Fortunately, the Sequoia III Table Leg System is a big improvement over the Sequoia II and at $96 for the whole System, it’s reasonably priced. Even Amazon carries the Sequoia III System.
Any normal table top can be mounted to the Sequoia III table top mounting bracket.
I didn’t use the word “Pedestal” because ITC doesn’t use that word. To ITC it’s a Table Leg. In my mind a pedestal has an integrated base. On the ITC system the base is a completely separate part from the table leg.

Because I was 'in the same boat' as the original poster to this thread and wanted to add a cockpit table similar to the stock one on later models, I thought I'd update with our solution. Unlike the later, later models with a floor mount pedestal we stuck with the side mount option. We got the Taco marine mount and brackets like the stock table, and ordered the teak table itself from an Australian company with surprisingly fast shipping to Florida. Parts and photo below.

Hi there. I have a 2019 c28 with an existing sequoia2 table leg. The leg is so wobbly it makes the table useless and almost dangerous to use. Even tightened with as much force as I can apply. You say you have replaced yours with a Sequoia 3, are you happy with the results? Is it stable now and would you fell comfortable using the table?
Thanks for any input you can provide.

I had the Sequoia 2 leg and mount on my R-25 Classic. I have found the Sequoia 3 system to be much sturdier and much less wobbly. Not perfect mind you but a big improvement. Cheers!
