I recently purchased a used 2024 R-25, less than 100hrs engine hours and have a new LiFePO4 battery I’d like to install into my battery bank. Is it possible to install the LiFePO4 without compromising the integrity of the other three AGM’s?

If so, should the LiFePO4 connected to the engine or house? What additives should I install to make this a seamless transition with the intention of eventually changing over the other three batteries?

You can add lithium batteries to your boat, but the house bank should be converted as a complete set rather than mixing lithium and AGM batteries. If you choose to upgrade, both house batteries should be replaced with lithium batteries. We recommend keeping the engine and thruster batteries as AGM deep-cycle batteries. Those systems are designed to operate with AGM batteries, and lithium batteries can't support the draw from the engine or thruster. Also, you will need to verify that charger is able to support the lithium batteries.
