hi y'all,
we're so excited to be joining the tugnuts/cutwater family. we recently purchased a cutwater 28 whom we've named SassyRed. we've got her moored in a covered slip in Everett. this is our first power boat and we are definitely newbies & are eager to learn from all of you.
we are just beginning to outfit the boat and would love to hear how y'all have maximized storage space on your cutwaters.
for example, can you post images of how/where you store your pantry items, utensils, pots/pans, glasses/dishes. and, how have you set up storage (& where!) for your spare parts, tools, pfds, lifesling, charts, books.
thanks, in advance, for any guidance y'all can provide.
ship ahoy!

Welcome.

I suggest you check out Owner Customizations under the "Forum Index". There are some very clever uses of space depicted there.

Enjoy

We find buying a variety of "Tupperware" style plastic bins with lids, sized to stack one or two/three high in each compartment is the best answer. All but our dishes, pots, and pans go in a labelled container by category. IE dry goods, canned goods, beverage supplies, breakfast items, etc. easy to identify the right container and slide it out for access, whether it is top, bottom or rear. Sure speeds up and simplifies getting something out of the cupboard. We also use the same system under the forward berth, and in the cave - if you have to reconfigure for sleeping it's quick and easy to stack these elsewhere, even the cockpit - they are weatherproof. Finally, we went without the wine fridge to gain considerable storage under the helm seat - and just added an identical door to the others to seal off this compartment. Have fun - hopefully one of you is an organizer!

Storage bins it is for now. When you measure out the cabinets and convert to "number of bins" you realize there really is a goodly amount of storage on this boat. Fred Meyer..... zillions of bins of all sizes....

Thanks for the suggestion.

Welcome to the Cutwater -Ranger tug family! You have purchased a highly versatile boat that can get you almost anywhere you want to go on the water economically and safely and with factory support second to none.
There are numerous cruises and gatherings coming up, these are not only fun but a great place to learn how others have outfitted and use their boats. So come and "walk the docks" with us.

Looking forward to seeing "Sassy Red"
